The Manestream is Grapevine High School's school newspaper. It
is published at least once a month. The paper provides information
for students on topics such as entertainment, sports, news, and
opinions. Each section is given a set editor to provide the information
in that column. The paper is published by the advanced jounalism
students.
The Manestream editors have received some great awards throughout
the 1999-2000 school year. They participated in the Interscholastic
League Press Conference and won some state awards. On the 4A division
for high school level they won:
*2nd
in Feature Photo
*3rd in News Writing
*3rd in Entertainment Feature
*3rd in General Column
*3rd in Sports Column
*3rd in Student Art
*3rd in Editorial Cartoon
The students also did very
well in the "Dallas Morning News High School Journalism Day".
They placed first in Sports (Ryan Maxwell), Cartoon (Travis Renick),
and Columnist (Sarah Caldwell).
The
Manestream is a wonderful way to keep Grapevine High School students
up to date on what's going on!
